Bernard

Bernard is a wolf, but a wolf with a difference. He’s a very much misunderstood wild hound.

Rob Jones has a bold, striking style of illustration and his minimal use of colour in this book makes this story perfect for the younger reader and a style that will appeal to their emerging sense of humour.

The short, simply paced rhyme also allows the reader to guess what’s coming next.

The local villagers fear him and assume he wants to gobble them all up.

But little do they know, this scary wolf doesn’t want to get his jaws around them he just wants to devour their strawberry jam!

Those clever people at Beast in Show, provided this box of goodies to accompany the book and it even included a jar of Bernard’s jam.

I had to gobble it up quickly before Bernard got his chops round it.
