Grumpy Frog by Ed Vere (Penguin Books)

Well, if we ever needed some jovial, light-hearted banter, it’s most probably now and we have just the tonic.

Don’t be deceived by it’s eponymous title, ‘Grumpy Frog‘ will offer you droves of belly laughs and humour in abundance.

Grumpy Frog likes nothing more than those things coloured green.

He loves leaves and grass and frogs (obviously!), see he’s not so grumpy after all… Or is he?

Just don’t get him on to the other colours…

We said “DON’T!”

Ed Vere has got this grumpy business down pat. Everything from the facial expressions to the folded arms.

(Disclaimer: Grumpy Frog is in no way based on Ed Vere. Ed Vere is NOT grumpy, no way, utterly impossible and he did not pay us to say that!)

So what happens when Grumpy Frog encounters a pink rabbit, perish the thought!

A fabulously colourful tale of compromise, tolerance and realising your own shortcomings. It’s a story that invites children to acknowledge their own emotions and embrace their own weaknesses.
